First Aid Services

Backcountry Medic Services (BMS) is dedicated to protecting the safety of wilderness workers by providing Rescue Paramedics and fully equipped Emergency Transport Vehicles. WorkSafe BC has mandated that workers in remote areas must have effective first aid coverage.  Backcountry Medic Services can fulfill this mandate by providing competent, safety conscious staff as Field Medics. These employees demonstrate a commitment to safety, willingness to participate in continuous training and awareness of environmental issues.

Certifications for Medic staff will include:

• H2S Alive
• WHMIS / TDG
• Occupational First Aid Level 3
• Class 5 Drivers License
• Bear Spray Certificate
• Fire Extinguisher Training
• Wildlife Awareness Course
• Defensive Driving
• Avalanche Safety Training (where required)
• Two Way Radio Communications Training
